Mark Parsons appointed as the new head coach of the Netherland's women's football team.

34-year-old, Mark Parson will take over as the head coach of Netherland's women's football team after the Olympics. 

As the current coach Sarina Wiegman sets to step down from her position, Parson will lead the Orange Lionesses (Netherland) at the 2022 European Championship in England. While Sarina will be the head coach of England.

Mark Parson is currently the coach of the American top club Portland Thorns, which competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).

In 2016, he won the NWSL Shield, after which he was awarded as coach of the year in America. A year later, Parsons led the Thorns to the NWSL championship. Earlier this month, Portland Thorns captured the NWSL Challenge Cup, the first prize of the season.
