Marc Marquez confirmed to leave Honda at the end of the season after an 11-year decorated stint.

After an 11-year partnership, six-time world champion, Marc Marquez and Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) have mutually decided to part ways at the end of the 2023 MotoGP season.

With a year remaining, both parties thought it was best to go their separate ways to achieve their future goals.

The man, the machine, Marc Marquez stormed into the MotoGP arena in 2013 winning the world championship the same year and successfully defending it in 2014.

Marquez switched to total domination mode and ruled the roost from 2016 to 2019 becoming the undisputed champion for four running years.

Since his most recent title victory in 2019, Marc Marquez has only won three races. The decline in trophies isn’t due to a lack of ability on the Spaniard’s end.

He’s always the leading Honda rider in any season where he completes a majority of the rounds.

Marquez missed four races due to injury this year, and he’s still the manufacturer’s highest-placed rider despite being 15th in the championship.
