Manchester City Hit with Over £2 Million Fine for Delaying Matches.

Manchester City have been fined over £2 million for delaying Premier League kick-offs and restarts a total of 22 times over the past two seasons.

Manchester City have admitted to breaching Premier League rules by delaying kick-offs and restarts on numerous occasions. 

Over the past two seasons, the club faced fines totaling more than £2 million for these delays, which were deemed "without good reason."

In the 2022-23 season, City delayed restarts eight times, resulting in a £390,000 fine. The following season saw an increase in breaches, with 14 instances of delays. 

This included 11 delays to the start of the second half and four delays to the match kick-off, leading to fines totaling £1.7 million.
