Lyles Aims for Olympic Sprint Double After 200m Triumph.

American sprinter Noah Lyles has the opportunity to achieve an Olympic sprint double, a feat last accomplished by Usain Bolt, after qualifying for the 200m final at Paris 2024.

Noah Lyles, 27, secured 100m gold in a dramatic photo finish, narrowly beating Jamaica's Kishane Thompson. He finished second in his 200m semi-final with a time of 20.08 seconds, behind Botswana's Letsile Tebogo, who clocked 19.96 seconds.

The Olympic men's 200m final is set for Thursday at 19:30 BST. Kenneth Bednarek and Erriyon Knighton of the USA also advanced, with Bednarek posting a time of 20.00 seconds. However, Canada's Andre de Grasse, the defending champion, did not make the final.

Lyles, who won three golds at last year's World Championships, including the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay, aims to add the 4x400m relay title to his accolades in Paris.
