Liverpool Secures Tough Win Against Newly Promoted Ipswich Town.

Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool in a hard-fought win over newly promoted Ipswich Town, marking a successful start for Arne Slot as Liverpool's head coach. The match took place at the lively Portman Road.

Portuguese forward Diogo Jota completed a slick Liverpool move, finishing a low cross from Mohamed Salah after a build-up involving Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Jota’s goal came shortly after the hour mark. Just five minutes later, Salah scored from Dominik Szoboszlai's pass, marking his ninth opening-day goal, a Premier League record.

Ipswich Town, making their first top-flight appearance in 22 years, were strong opponents in the first half. They nearly scored through Jacob Greaves' header and Omar Hutchinson's low shot.

Liverpool improved in the second half, with Jota missing a close chance when he headed Alexander-Arnold’s precise cross just wide of the post.
