Leicester hooker Tom Young has announced his retirement from professional rugby

The 35-year-old forward ended his career with 215 appearances for Leicester, 28 Test caps for England and three appearances for the Lions.

Tom Youngs has not appeared in any games for Leicester this season after taking an indefinite leave for personal reasons prior to the start of the campaign.

"I am extremely grateful to all the teammates who have helped me along the way, the coaches who have taught me so much and the fans who have encouraged me," Young said in a statement on Leicester's website.
