Legendary Goal Scorer Christine Sinclair Set to Retire in November.

Canadian soccer legend Christine Sinclair, the all-time leading scorer in international football, has announced her retirement, which will take place in November after the conclusion of the 2024 National Women's Soccer League season.

The 41-year-old forward, who scored 190 goals in 331 international matches, stepped back from national team duty last December but continued playing for the Portland Thorns.

This marks her 12th season with the team, which plans to honor her at the end of the regular season on November 1.

On Instagram, Sinclair expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Portland, will never be enough. Soccer has been my passion since I was four years old and has taken me on an incredible journey." She added that it has been a privilege to represent the city she will always call home.

Sinclair played a key role in helping the Thorns secure the first NWSL championship in 2013 and later added titles in 2017 and 2022.
