Daniel Ricciardo has been replaced by Liam Lawson at Red Bull for the rest of the 2024 season.
Red Bull has dropped 35-year-old Daniel Ricciardo for the final six races of the 2024 season due to concerns over his performance.
Liam Lawson, 22, will take his place as Red Bull evaluates him ahead of their 2025 lineup decision.
Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies praised Ricciardo for his experience, positive attitude, and contribution to team spirit, saying he will always be part of the Red Bull family.
Lawson previously stepped in for Ricciardo last season after he broke his wrist, scoring two points with a ninth-place finish at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix.
