Josh Kerr won the 5th Avenue Mile race in New York for the second consecutive year, setting a new course record that had stood for 43 years.
The Scot finished the 5th Avenue Mile in 3 minutes 44.3 seconds, more than three seconds faster than the previous record set by Sydney Maree in 1981.
Just three days after finishing fifth at the Zurich Diamond League meeting, Kerr, the world 1500m champion and Olympic silver medallist, secured victory ahead of American Josh Hoey and Kenyan Amon Kemboi.
At 26, Kerr now holds two of the top three fastest times in the race's history. Fellow Scot Neil Gourley finished in 16th place.
