Kang Pledges $50M Boost for Women's Sports.

Michele Kang, owner of three football clubs including the London City Lionesses, has announced a $50 million (£39.2 million) global investment aimed at enhancing the health of elite female athletes.

Michele Kang, also owner of Lyon and Washington Spirit, hopes her new venture, Kynisca, will usher in "a new era for female athletic potential" and "drive lasting change."

The first investment from Kynisca is $4 million (£3.14 million) for the USA women's rugby sevens program.

Kang aims for Kynisca to lead in female performance research, focusing on training women according to their specific needs rather than as "simply small men."
