Playing at a sold-out O2 Arena in London, the USA faced a tough challenge as Germany led 71-68 at the end of the third quarter.
James's late-game heroics turned the tide, leading his team to a hard-fought victory.
LeBron James hit a crucial three-pointer with 1:26 remaining, putting the USA up 90-86. He then added two more points, sealing a 92-86 lead and the win.
Joel Embiid scored 15 points, and Stephen Curry added 13 in the victory, which marked the USA's fifth straight pre-Olympic exhibition win.
"It was a good test for us. I'm glad we kept our composure and persevered, just like we did against South Sudan," said James, who will be a flagbearer for Team USA at the Olympic Games opening ceremony on Friday.
The USA aims for a fifth consecutive men's basketball gold medal at the Paris Olympics, boasting a 12-man squad of some of the NBA's greatest talents.
