Glenn Irwin made history as the most accomplished Superbike rider in the North West 200's history, securing victory in the premier class's first race on Saturday.
After winning Thursday's four-lap big bike sprint on his PBM Ducati, Glenn Irwin secured another victory by narrowly beating Milwaukee BMW rival Davey Todd in a thrilling six-lap race at the Triangle circuit.
This win marked Irwin's 10th Superbike triumph at the event, surpassing the records of Michael Rutter and the late Joey Dunlop.
Irwin's remarkable success streak began in 2017's race two, and he has maintained his dominance ever since.
In both Thursday's race and the recent contest, Irwin and Todd engaged in a close battle, with Irwin ultimately crossing the finish line 0.382 seconds ahead.
Throughout the race, Irwin and Todd exchanged leads, showcasing the intensity of their competition as mere tenths of a second separated them at each lap's end.
