Ireland's Six-Try Surge Powers Past Australia in Dominant Win.

Ireland's women's team kicked off their season with an impressive six-try victory over Australia in Belfast. Back-row Aoife Wafer stood out, scoring a try in each half and earning the player of the match title.

The match saw a whirlwind start with three tries in the first 13 minutes. Aoife Dalton's early score was quickly answered by Wallaroos winger Maya Stewart, who added another in the second half.

Tries from Aoife Wafer and Eimear Considine, returning after two years, gave Ireland a 17-5 lead at halftime. In the fourth quarter, Eve Higgins, Wafer, and Cliodhna Moloney added further tries to seal a dominant display.

Ireland's performance under coach Scott Bemand showed clear progress, a stark contrast to the team that finished last in the 2023 Six Nations.
