Ireland all-rounder Simi Singh has announced he is now in the "recovery phase" following his liver transplant surgery.
The 37-year-old cricketer faced serious health issues due to acute liver failure. Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom described the news as "shocking" and offered Singh "best wishes and prayers" as he battled his illness.
On Instagram, Singh revealed that the liver failure was caused by "a case of wrongly prescribed antibiotics and steroids."
He expressed gratitude for his wife, who was his liver donor, and thanked everyone for their support and prayers.
