Over the next year, this towering teenage Olympian is set to make waves in the world of basketball, drawing even more attention to his impressive height and burgeoning talent.

The 17-year-old basketball prodigy, competing for South Sudan at the Olympics, is expected to be a top pick in next year's NBA Draft, with many teams eager to sign him.

Maluach’s skills are rapidly improving, but his story extends beyond the court.

"Basketball means a lot to me. I believe it’s a gift from God to make a difference in people’s lives and change my family’s future," he told BBC Sport Africa. "The orange ball has taken me so far."
