Injury Blow: Yoro Sidelined for Three Months, Højlund Out for Six Weeks.

Manchester United's new £52m defender Leny Yoro will be out for three months due to an injury sustained in Saturday’s pre-season match against Arsenal. Striker Rasmus Højlund is also sidelined for six weeks with an injury from the same game.

Just over an hour before Manchester United's 3-2 win against Real Betis in San Diego, sources confirmed that Leny Yoro and Rasmus Højlund would miss significant time due to injuries.

Both players were forced off during the first half of United's 2-1 loss to Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Yoro, seen wearing a protective boot and using crutches at UCLA, will be out until the end of October, missing nine Premier League games, including key fixtures against Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa, as well as the start of United’s Europa League and Carabao Cup campaigns.

Højlund, who scored United’s opener against Arsenal, sustained a hamstring injury and will be sidelined until after the September international break, ruling him out of the Liverpool match at Old Trafford on September 1.

Yoro will undergo further tests upon his return to the UK, though he will remain with the team for the rest of their US tour, which ends with a game against Liverpool in Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday.

The injuries may accelerate United's pursuit of Jarred Branthwaite from Everton or Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich, as they look to bolster their squad.
