Jakob Ingebrigtsen delivered a commanding performance at the Diamond League in Lausanne, easily defeating 1500m Olympic champion Cole Hocker.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen, the 23-year-old Norwegian, was a strong favorite for gold at Paris 2024 but misjudged the race, allowing American Cole Hocker to take the win.
Ingebrigtsen ended up finishing fourth, with Great Britain's Josh Kerr and the USA's Yared Nuguse also overtaking him in the final stretch.
However, at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise, Ingebrigtsen bounced back, claiming a decisive victory in 3:27.83.
Hocker finished second in 3:29.85, with fellow American Hobbs Kessler taking third.
