Indian Wrestlers Secure Limited Seedings for Paris Olympics 2024.

Antim Panghal in the women's 53kg category and Aman Sehrawat in men's freestyle 57kg are the sole Indian wrestlers to earn seedings for the Paris Olympics 2024.

Panghal has been seeded fourth in the women's 53kg category, while Sehrawat holds the sixth seed in men's freestyle 57kg.

These seedings are expected to provide them with favorable matchups in the early stages of the Paris Olympics, potentially easing their path in the wrestling events.

The wrestling events are scheduled to start on August 5 and finish on August 11, marking the final day of the Games. Notably, this will be the first Olympics where wrestling events feature seedings.

The seeding for the wrestlers was determined based on their performances at the 2023 World Championships, 2024 Continental Championships, and Ranking Series events held in Zagreb and Budapest.

Notably, star Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat, competing in the women's 50kg weight class, did not receive any seeding.
