Indian contender, Manika Batra suffered defeat at the Singapore Smash table tennis tournament 2023.

Surprisingly, Indian contender, Manika Batra has suffered a shocking defeat in both women's doubles and mixed doubles matches at the Singapore Smash table tennis tournament 2023.

As a result of the elimination of Manika Batra from the tournament, India's campaign also came to an end at the Singapore Smash 2023.

Manika Batra's loss comes after Sharath Kamal and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran lost their respective men's singles matches.

Sweden's Linda Bergstrom smashed out Manika Batra by 3-2 (12-10, 6-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-13) after a 52 minutes hard-fought battle between the two.

In the mixed doubles category, Manika and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran suffered defeat against Japan's duo of Hina Hayata and Tomokazu Harimoto by 2-3 (9-11 9-11 11-8 11-5 7-11) in the quarterfinal round.

While in the women's doubles, China pair Meng Chen and Yidi Wang smashed out India's pair Manika and Archana Kamath by 2-3 (2-11 6-11 15-13 12-10 6-11) in the round of 16 encounter.
