India vs Ireland 1st T20I: India wins the 1st match, leads the series by 1-0.

Hardik Pandya's led side wins the toss and opted to ball first against Ireland in Dublin.

In the absence of several senior stars, Pandya has been appointed Team India captain as VVS Laxman has travelled with the team to guide them throughout the matches against Ireland.

Earlier batting first Ireland had a rough start. Later Ireland's Harry Tector played an outstanding knock of unbeaten 64 runs to help Ireland score a chasing total of 108 runs for India in a rain-effected match of 12 overs.

India reached the target in 9.2 overs, scoring 111 for three. Some useful contributions from Indian players let them to chase the target easily.

Deepak Hooda's unbeaten (47 off 29 balls), Ishan Kishan (26 off 11 balls) and Hardik Pandya (24 off 12 balls) helped India to clinch the target in just 9.2 overs.
