India shines with win over Cambodia in Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Indian men’s football team in their opening contest of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on Wednesday had a comfortable win over Cambodia by 2-0.

Sunil Chhetri netted both goals for India in the Asian Cup qualifiers event with an ease 2-0 win over Cambodia at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan on Wednesday.

Sunil Chhetri was once again the man of the moment. Inspite of being returned from an injury Chhetri was handling the ball in a quite impressive manner and scored both the goals for his side. He scored both the goals in both half's at 13th and 59th minute.

The double strike brought him back to the third place in the list of highest scorers among active footballers in the world.

Sunil Chhetri is now positioned in the third place after scoring 82 goals from 127 matches. At present he is placed behind Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (117 goals) and Argentine virtuoso Lionel Messi (86 goals).
