India knocked out of Asia Cup title race

At Jakarta, India were knocked out of the Asia Cup 2022 Hockey after Korea hold them back by 4-4 draw in their must-win match. It was a very crucial and must win match for India to get into the final clash against Malaysia.

India started well in their Super-4 campaign  by winning over Japan by 2-1 and a draw match against Malaysia by 3-3.

But against Korea they were not able to hold their nerves positively and results in a draw match. Further India will face Japan, battling for the third position in the tally.

From the start India were not at all bad on the field, after the penalty corner by Nilam Sanjeep Xess India were leading over Korea by 1-0.The excitement didn't remain for a long time wile Korea's Jonghyun Jang make a comeback with an equalizer.

Ji Woo Cheon’s goal took Korea into the lead, in the second quarter of the match. Soon Raj Kumar Pal's goal equalizes the score and back to back goal of Sheshe Gowda took India into a 3-2 lead.

Korea didn't lose their nerves from the match and fought back and finally equalizes the score by 3-3
