‘I Poured My Heart into Boxing, Yet I'm Left with Nothing’.

With her left eye swollen and blood streaming from her forehead, Heather Hardy insists to the ringside doctor that she wants to keep fighting.

She marches to the center of the ring, pounds her chest, and shouts, "I don't care, I don't care."

The 20,000-strong crowd at American Airlines Center in Texas stands in admiration, roaring for the fearless warrior.

This is Heather Hardy, fighting with all she knows.

At 42, Hardy has never been one to quit, and she won't start now in the final moments of her bout against featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.

They meet in the center, touch gloves, and exchange heavy punches for the last 15 seconds of the round. Hardy returns to her corner, pounding her chest and soaking in the crowd's energy.

The final round is an all-out battle until the bell rings, and the two fighters embrace.

As blood is wiped from Hardy’s face, Jimmy Lennon Jr. announces Serrano’s unanimous victory.

Hardy accepts the result without protest or surprise.
