Olympic 400m silver medalist Matthew Hudson-Smith will lead the British team in the Diamond League final in Brussels this Friday.
At the Diamond League final in Brussels, 29-year-old Matthew Hudson-Smith will compete against Zambia’s Muzala Samukonga, who placed third at Paris 2024, and London 2012 champion Kirani James.
British runner Charlie Dobson will also join them in the first day’s final race.
In the women's 100m, Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita will face St. Lucia's Julien Alfred and American Sha'Carri Richardson, who finished first and second at the summer Olympics.
Josh Kerr will not compete in the 1500m, but Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Americans Cole Hocker and Yared Nuguse, gold and bronze medalists from Paris, will race against Britain’s Elliot Giles.
For the 200m, Botswana’s Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo will compete with strong American sprinters, including Kenny Bednarek.
Sweden’s Armand Duplantis might attempt to break the pole vault world record again, while Britain’s Molly Caudery aims to bounce back from a disappointing Olympic performance.
