Howe Confirms No Contact Regarding England Job.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has stated that he has not been approached by the Football Association regarding the England manager position.

Eddie Howe, who has been linked to the England manager role since Gareth Southgate's departure on July 16, said he has received no contact from the Football Association and remains fully committed to Newcastle United.

Speaking during Newcastle's pre-season trip to Japan, Howe emphasized, "There's nothing to talk about. I don’t need to address the players; they see my daily commitment to the club."

Newcastle chief executive Darren Eales has confirmed that the club is determined to keep Howe and will fend off any approaches from the FA.

Howe signed a "multi-year" contract extension with Newcastle last summer. The team finished seventh in the Premier League for the 2023-24 season and will kick off the new campaign at home against Southampton on August 17.
