Hepworth's Leap into History: GB's First Bronze in Vault.

Harry Hepworth made history as the first British man to win an Olympic vault medal, claiming bronze in a highly competitive final in Paris.

Hepworth scored 14.949, edging out compatriot and reigning world and European vault champion Jake Jarman, who scored 14.933 and finished fourth.

The Philippines' Carlos Edriel Yulo won his second gold of the Games with a score of 15.116, while Armenia's Artur Davtyan took silver with 14.966.

"I can't count the hours of training that went into this medal—it's an incredible feeling," said Hepworth. "This means the world to me; I've dedicated my life to this moment. I can't believe it's real."

Hepworth, 20, was the second to compete and anxiously waited to see if his score would hold up. Jarman, competing third, was in the bronze-medal position until Davtyan's final vault pushed him to fourth.

Both Hepworth and Jarman made history as the first British men to qualify for an Olympic vault final. Hepworth also became the first Briton to reach the rings final, where he finished seventh with a score of 14.800.
