Henrik Kristoffersen claims slalom gold at the Alpine World Ski Championships.

Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen has comfortably claimed slalom gold after an impressive second run at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Courchevel.

Greece's, AJ Ginnis clinched the second spot on the podium and claimed the first first-ever medal for his nation while Italy's Alex
Vinatzer claimed the third spot.

Henrik Kristoffersen was 0.91 seconds off the pace of first-run leader Manuel Feller and set the fastest time early on in the second run and saw all the late racers finish behind him one by one.

Italian Alex Vinatzer claimed the bronze while Alpine powerhouse Austria, who led the first run with Manuel Feller, ended the
championships without gold for the first time since 1987.

France's 2022 Olympic slalom champion Clement Noel was fourth, missing a medal by 0.03 seconds.
