England’s Georgia Hall is keeping her “fingers crossed” for a wildcard spot on Europe’s Solheim Cup team to compete against the United States next month.
Captain Suzann Pettersen will announce her four wildcard picks at 16:00 BST on Monday, adding to the eight players already chosen for the team.
The qualification ended after last week’s Women's Open, where Hall finished joint 22nd—just short of the top-20 needed to secure her spot.
"I love being part of the team," Hall told Sky Sports after finishing at St Andrews on Sunday. "I've played in a few and enjoy match play."
Having previously qualified automatically for her four prior Solheim Cup appearances, Hall said, "I feel I'm playing pretty well, so fingers crossed [I get selected]."
