Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard limped off injured, while Manchester City’s Erling Haaland netted a late winner to secure Norway's victory over Austria in the Nations League.
Odegaard suffered an ankle injury midway through the second half after a foul by Christoph Baumgartner. This could cast doubt on his availability for Sunday's north London derby, with Declan Rice already suspended for Arsenal's match against Tottenham.
Norway coach Stale Solbakken said, "It looked painful in the locker room. We suspect it’s an ankle sprain. With some luck, if the ligaments aren't torn, it might turn out okay, but I doubt [Arsenal boss Mikel] Arteta will be calling me to praise me tonight."
Team doctor Ola Sand added, "He has a minor ankle sprain. We might use ultrasound to assess it, and if necessary, an MRI will be done tomorrow."
Odegaard was injured when the score was tied 1-1, following Felix Myhre’s goal for Norway and Marcel Sabitzer’s equalizer for Austria.
