Great Britain suffered 2-1 defeat against Kazakhstan at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

It's a bad start for Great Britain as they suffered shocking 2-1 defeat against Kazakhstan in Group C at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Glasgow.

Great Britain's Katie Boulter and Harriet Dart both lost their singles matches to Yulia Putintseva and Elena Rybakina respectively.

Katie Boulter's suffered tragic 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 loss to Yulia Putintseva. Later reigning Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina smashed out Harriet Dart by 6-1, 6-4.

In the doubles, Britain’s Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls produced an impressive performance to defeat Rybakina and Anna Danilina 7-5, 6-3.

Britain could still qualify if they earn victory over Spain on Thursday but if Kazakhstan win their match against the Spaniards on Wednesday then GB's chance to move forward will decrease.
