Great Britain progressed into the play-off round beating Spain at United Cup.

Great Britain stormed into the play-off round of the United Cup mixed team tournament with victory over Spain in Sydney.

Britain's Dan Evans delivered 3-1 lead after beating against Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas by 6-3 1-6 6-3 at the Ken Rosewall Arena.

Britain began the day with a 2-0 advantage after Cameron Norrie's win over Rafa Nadal. Later Paula Badosa pulled Spain back into contest after defeating Harriet Dart by 6-7(6) 7-6(4) 6-1.

It will now take on the winner of Group C comprising the United States, Czech Republic and Germany in the "city final" at Sydney's  Ken Rosewall Arena on Wednesday. Sydney will host the final on January 8.
