The Seattle Seahawks suffered their first loss of the season as Jared Goff led the Detroit Lions to a 42-29 win.
Goff completed all 18 of his passes, setting an NFL record for the most completions without an incompletion, including two touchdown passes. He also scored his first career receiving touchdown.
"It's always great when the ball never touches the ground," Goff told ESPN.
For the Seahawks, Geno Smith recorded career highs with 395 passing yards and 38 completions on 56 attempts, along with one touchdown pass and one interception.
The Lions took control at home in Ford Field, leading 21-7 at halftime with two touchdowns from Jahmyr Gibbs and one from David Montgomery.
The Seahawks fought back, narrowing the gap, but Goff connected with Jameson Williams for a 70-yard touchdown, making it 35-20 heading into the final quarter.
Kenneth Walker III scored on a 21-yard touchdown run early in the fourth, but Goff answered by finding Amon-Ra St. Brown in the end zone to secure the win.
