GB's Neita and Asher-Smith Sprint into Olympic 200m Final.

Great Britain's Daryll Neita and Dina Asher-Smith have made it to the women's 200m final at Paris 2024. Meanwhile, 100m champion Noah Lyles advanced to the men's 200m final.

Daryll Neita, narrowly missing the 100m podium by just four-hundredths of a second, finished second in her 200m semi-final with a time of 22.24 seconds, behind the USA's Brittany Brown, who clocked 22.12.

Dina Asher-Smith, who was disappointed after not making the 100m final, will compete for a 200m medal after finishing second in her semi-final with a time of 22.31, behind American Gabby Thomas, who set the fastest semi-final time of 21.86.

Thomas, now the gold-medal favorite following Jamaica's Shericka Jackson's withdrawal, led the semi-finals ahead of St. Lucia's 100m champion Julien Alfred (21.98).

Neita's fourth place in the 100m was the best by a British female in an Olympic sprint final in 64 years, though she remains determined to win her first individual global medal.

Both Neita and Asher-Smith aim to become the first British women to stand on an Olympic sprint podium since Dorothy Hyman in 1960.

Unfortunately, teammate Bianca Williams did not advance, finishing fourth in her semi-final with a time of 22.58.
