18-year-old Coco Gauff became the youngest Tennis player in 18 years to make it to a Grand Slam final after she defeated Italy's Martina Trevisan in straight sets of 6-3,6-1 in the French Open semifinals at Roland Garros .
Maria Sharapova did it at 17 years old in 2004.
Serena Williams at 17-year-old reached the feat in the 1999 US open while the Gauff became the youngest American woman to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament.
The 18-year-old Coco Gauff claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win in a match in which both the players were featuring in a semi-final for the first time.
Coco Gauff will face world number one Iga Swiatek for the French Open title after Gauff eased into her maiden Grand Slam final with a straight-sets victory over Martina Trevisan.
"I think I'm a little bit in shock right now. I didn't know how to react after the match. I'm lost for words," said Gauff after the match.
