Indian men's hockey team lost by 2-3 to Belgium in a close fight in the second leg of their double-header at the FIH Pro League in Antwerp.
In a high thrilling battle of equals, hosts Belgium beat the Indian men’s hockey team 3-2 in their second leg of their double-header this weekend at the FIH Pro League in Antwerp.
For India it was Abhishek who scored the match's first goal at 25th minute and gave India a lead and later Mandeep Singh scored the late goal at 60th minute of the match.
For the host Belgium, Nicolas de Kerpel who scored the first goal for his team at 33rd minute. As the time passes by the Belgium players fought back tightly and their striker player Alexander Hendrickx scored two consecutive goals at the 49th and 59th minute of the match.
It was a very brilliant battle between the two teams but the luck did not shines for team India. Finally Belgium won the match by 3-2.
With this win, Belgium have pushed India to the third place in the pool standings while Netherlands continues to lead the table in this season’s prestigious FIH Pro League.
