Uruguay won their 3rd and 4th match of the pool stage against South Africa and Poland to go 4 for 4 and finish top of the table with comfortable win. However, the 2nd final spot was up for grabs for all the other 4 teams.

Uruguay women crowned champions of inaugural FIH Hockey5s 2022 hosted by Switzerland in Lausanne.

The Uruguay Women's team has given a spotless performance in the FIH Hockey5s by winning every match they played in the event and became the champions after defeating the host Switzerland in the women's final.

The home team started off the match with an early goal and showed off the crowd that the team is totally ready to be crowned as the title winner.

But the Uruguay team did not lose off their nerves and fights back in their calm manner and within 5 minutes of going behind they had restored their position but also goaled the second and third goal to take a comfortable 2 goal lead into the half time.
