At the FIH Women's Hockey World Cup India manages to defend china to a 1-1 draw in their second match in Pool B.

Earlier in the tournament opening match India drew 1-1 against Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist England.

This is India's second consecutive identical result in Pool B, at the FIH Women's Hockey World Cup 2022.

In the 26th minute a goal from Jiali Zheng gave China lead over India. After scoring the goal China tried in every way to defend India from scoring. But at the 45th minute Indian star hockey player Vandana Katariya scored a goal for India and equalizes the score on the board.

At the final whistle of the game both the teams registered their second consecutive draw in the tournament.
