FIH Hockey 5s: India beat Poland 6-4 in final to clinch FIH Hockey 5s championship

Indian men's hockey team made a magnificent comeback and beat Poland 6-4 in final to clinch the inaugural FIH Hockey 5s championship in Lausanne in Switzerland.

India had topped the five-team standings with 10 points from three wins and one draw which en route the team to the final and ended the league by winning the final.

India wins second time with the same opponent. Poland, who had finished second with two wins and as many losses, 6-2 in their round-robin league match three and half hours earlier in the same day.

In the third match of India with Poland, Indian men's were surprised as well as shocked as Poland stroked in three goals in the first five minutes of play by Mateusz Nowakowski (1st), Wojciech Rutkowski (5th) and captain Robert Pawlak (5th).
