FIFA Opens Dialogue with Upset Organizations on Calendar Changes.

FIFA is open to discussing the football calendar with organizations considering legal action.

Last week, the European Leagues, representing 39 leagues across 33 countries, and global players' union FIFPRO threatened legal action against FIFA, citing concerns over FIFA's "abuse of dominance" in football.

The World Leagues Association, which includes 46 leagues like the Premier League, also warned of possible legal steps if FIFA proceeds with its plans for a 32-team Club World Cup next season.

This move comes amid increasing criticism about the crowded football calendar and its impact on players.

FIFA has reiterated its invitation to meet and discuss the calendar with both the World Leagues Association and FIFPRO, noting that no response has been received to its letter sent on May 10, 2024.
