Fernandez Issues Apology as He Rejoins Chelsea's Squad.

Enzo Fernandez has apologized to French teammates in the Chelsea squad after Wesley Fofana accused him of "uninhibited racism."

Argentina international Enzo Fernandez, 23, arrived in Atlanta and addressed the controversy surrounding a video he posted after Argentina’s Copa America win over Colombia on July 14.

The video included a song about France's Black players, which the French Football Federation condemned as "racist and discriminatory."

A complaint was made to FIFA, and Chelsea conducted an internal disciplinary review, which has now concluded.
Chelsea's squad includes seven French players who are Black or of mixed race, including Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Lesley Ugochukwu, Christopher Nkunku, Malo Gusto, and Wesley Fofana, who had labeled the video as "uninhibited racism" on Instagram.

BBC Sport reports that some players valued the initial discussions, and new manager Enzo Maresca is expected to confirm Fernandez’s return to the squad soon.
