Everton's Nathan Patterson ruled out for up to five weeks with ankle injury.

Everton and Scotland defender Nathan Patterson is set out from the ground for up to five weeks with an ankle injury.

Nathan sustained the injury during Scotland's 3-0 Nations League win over Ukraine and was carried off on a stretcher at Hampden Park last week. Patterson was injured in a challenge with Ruslan Malinovskyi during the first half of the contest.

Nathan had been one of Everton's most impressive performers this season, starting all eight first-team games so far.

Patterson will now join a growing injury list which already includes Ben Godfrey, Andros Townsend, Yerry Mina, Mason Holgate, Jordan Pickford and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
