Great Britain needs to stage a comeback to advance to the Davis Cup Finals quarter-finals after Dan Evans lost their opening match against Argentina.
In a best-of-three tie, Dan Evans lost 6-2, 7-5 to Tomas Martin Etcheverry in Manchester.
Jack Draper, back with the team after being rested for Wednesday's win over Finland, will face Francisco Cerundolo in the second singles match. If Draper wins, the tie will be decided in a doubles match.
Great Britain needs to beat Argentina at the Manchester Arena to advance to the Davis Cup quarter-finals in November at the 'Final Eight' event in Malaga.
Canada will also progress if they win against Argentina and Finland in their first two ties.
