New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and the player's association delightfully announced that professional women's and men's cricketers in the country will receive the same pay for the same work on the same day.
This agreement is a five-year deal which was agreed and accepted by New Zealand Cricket (NZC).
According to NZC, this is the first time in cricket history that the professional environments of men and women have been combined in a single agreement.
The agreement will start on 1st August, 2022 and will see professional women's players receive equity in matters such as travel, accommodation and can play more matches and formats as well as training environment.
