England's Gina Kennedy bagged squash gold on her Commonwealth Games debut.

In her debut Commonwealths, the 25-year-old, Gina Kennedy clinched gold medal in the women's squash singles at the Commonwealth Games.

Gina Kennedy scripted history by becoming the first Englishwoman to win gold in the women's squash singles at the Commonwealth Games.

She wins the gold after defeating Canada's Hollie Naughton by 3-1 (11-7 11-5 12-14 11-5) in a thrilling session at the finals.

Its a remarkable achievement for the youngster, who has risen from No.185th to the world's top 10 inside a year.
