Emma Raducanu dropped out from Transylvania Open due to injury.

British number one Emma Raducanu stepped back from the ongoing Transylvania Open in Romania due to severe wrist injury that could spell the end of her season.

Emma Raducanu won her first WTA Tour matches in Cluj-Napoca last year, reaching the quarter-finals.

Raducanu's season has been dampened by a series of different injuries, ranging from blisters to side strains and hip and back problems. Last month, she was forced to retire during the Korea Open semi-final.

She won her first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open last year, was beaten by Daria Kasatkina in the first round of the WTA 500 event in Ostrava, Czech Republic on Tuesday.
