Edwards Leads Wolves as Knicks' Brunson Matches Historic Jordan Performance.

Once again, Anthony Edwards shone brightly as the Minnesota Timberwolves outperformed the defending NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, securing a commanding 2-0 lead in the Western Conference semi-finals.

Anthony Edwards continued his impressive form, following up his 43-point performance in game one with another 27 points on Monday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves secured a convincing 106-80 victory.

Karl-Anthony Towns also played a crucial role, matching Edwards with 27 points and contributing 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves. Their strong start saw them establish a commanding 28-point lead in the second quarter, maintaining control throughout the game.

Despite missing Rudy Gobert, their defensive anchor, Minnesota limited Denver's star players Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic to just eight and 16 points respectively.

Towns highlighted the team's collective effort, stating, "When you don't have the defensive player of the year, you've got to step your game up."

The Timberwolves now head back to Minneapolis with a 2-0 series lead, ready for the next two games at home.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Conference, Jalen Brunson's remarkable scoring streak continued as he notched 43 points to lead the New York Knicks to a thrilling 121-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers in game one of their semi-final series.

Brunson's achievement marked his fourth consecutive 40-point game, placing him in elite company alongside NBA legends like Jerry West, Bernard King, and Michael Jordan in playoff history.
