Dynamic Duo: Hodgkinson & Kerr Blaze Through to Secure Title Shots.

Team GB's gold medal hopefuls, Keely Hodgkinson and Josh Kerr, have both secured their chance to race for Olympic glory in Paris.

Keely Hodgkinson, 22, breezed through her women's 800m semi-final, clocking the fastest time of 1:56.86 at Stade de France.

Unfortunately, her teammates Jemma Reekie and 17-year-old Phoebe Gill didn't make it to the medal race on Monday night.

In the men's 1500m, world champion Josh Kerr closely followed Norway's Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen, finishing their semi-final in 3:32.46, just behind Ingebrigtsen's 3:32.38.

Fellow Brit Neil Gourley also advanced, finishing third in his semi-final with a time of 3:32.11, behind American Yared Nuguse who won with 3:31.72. George Mills, however, did not progress after the repechage round.

Matthew Hudson-Smith, the European record holder, and teammate Charlie Dobson both won their men's 400m heats, moving on to the semi-finals on Tuesday.
