Annemiek van Vleuten officially announced that she will retire from Professional cycling at the end of the 2023 season.
The current Olympic TT champion and World number 1 will finish after 16 years career at the top of women's cycling.
Van Vleuten had given the women's Movistar team a new heights in success since her signing in 2021.
In her career she had almost 90 pro victories. She was the winner of Tour of Flanders, 10 years ago.
In 2021, Van Vleuten bagged 12 victories, including gold in the TT in Tokyo, finally had a victory in the second Tour of Flanders.
