Dutch cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten clinch the inaugural Tour de France Femmes title.

Dutch sensational rider Annemiek van Vleuten clinch the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes title with a thrilling eighth and final stage victory.

By the winning the first edition of Tour de France Femmes, van Vleuten earned the Yellow Jersey for her overall victory.

Van Vleuten, ranked No. 1 in the world, won stages seven and eight. She clinched the title after lots of efforts and hurdles as she had to change her bike three times because of mechanical issues on the eighth and final stage.

Movistar Team rider Demi Vollering finished second while Katarzyna "Kasia" Niewiadoma of Poland finished third.

Team Jumbo-Visma rider Marianne Vos, who won two stages and led most of the Tour, ultimately took the green jersey for winning the overall points classification.
