Duplantis Soars to New Heights with Record-Breaking Gold in Pole Vault.

Sweden's Armand Duplantis electrified the stadium with an extraordinary performance, shattering the world record by clearing 6.25 meters to claim gold in the men's pole vault.

His remarkable leap not only secured his victory but also etched his name into the annals of athletic history.

At just 24, Sweden's Armand Duplantis secured his second consecutive Olympic title in pole vault by clearing six meters. He then set an Olympic record of 6.10m and, on his third and final attempt, broke his own world record with a jump of 6.25m, thrilling the crowd at the Stade de France.

Duplantis, now a two-time world champion, has broken the world record nine times. He became the first athlete to retain the pole vault title since American Bob Richards in the 1950s.

Overjoyed, he celebrated with friends and family before taking a victory lap draped in the Swedish flag, with Abba's "Dancing Queen" playing in the background.

Reflecting on his achievement, Duplantis said, "I haven’t processed how fantastic that moment was. It’s one of those things that you don’t really feel is real. It's such an out-of-body experience."
